PUBLIC AFFAIRS Lyn Koppel interviews Peter Scharf from the LSU New Orleans School of Public Health. He will be speaking to congress this week on youth violence. Public Affairs airs on Wednesday at 4PM and again on Sunday at 7:30AM.

NOLA BY MOUTH: Host Amy Sins explores the wonderful world of Tale of The Cocktail (happening this week in New Orleans!). Airs on Wednesday at 4:30PM and Saturday at 9:30PM.

AUDIO PORTRAITS (Replay): Shaun Johnson gets on the phone with Divon Spears, a blind body builder. Tune in on Thursday at 4PM and Sunday at 1:30PM.

THE WRITER’S FORUMDavid is joined by Maurice Carlos Ruffin, local writer, lawyer and restaurateur. Maurice is a graduate of the University of New Orleans Creative Writing Workshop and a member of the Peauxdunque Writers Alliance and the Melanated Writers Collective. His work has appeared in Redivider, the Apalachee Review, and Unfathomable City: A New Orleans Atlas edited by Rebecca Solnit and Rebecca Snedecker. He is the winner of the 2014 Iowa Review Fiction Award, the 2014 So to Speak Journal Short Story Award and the 2014 William Faulkner Competition for Novel in Progress. Tune in on Thursday at 4:30PM, Saturday at 8:30AM and Sunday at 1PM.
